Simply follow these steps and it will work:

Write your mnemonic to a paper or somewhere
Backup full node db file (you don't need to resync again)
uninstall Chia
delete these folders: C:\Users\username.chia and C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\chia-blockchain
reinstall Chia
start it, wait a few minutes and close it
overwrite the previously backed up db file in C:\Users\username.chia\mainnet\db
start Chia
